Check-in

Our self-check-in and check-out process allows you full flexibility, while we will be at your disposal 24/7 via telephone for any urgent matters.

The neighborhood

The Mestni trg square has been the center of the capital since the 12th century. It is now part of the pedestrian-only historic center, where only certain cars are allowed to enter during a small window of time early in the day. This ensures the neighborhood evolves with people in mind and therefore hosts lovely artisan shops, quality restaurants, open-air cafes and (wine) bars. It’s central location is great for exploring Ljubljana as all the major attractions are within 5 - 20 min walk, including Ljubljana castle and the beautiful city park Tivoli. The cobblestone streets and colourful historical houses meet the youthful energy of the city for the perfect getaway experience. Within 3 min walk you will find a pharmacy (open every day except Sundays), a grocery shop (“Mercator”, open every day), a “DM” - store that sells cosmetics, healthcare items, household products, and health food (open every day) and multiple ATMs. Additionally 400m away, across Prešernov Square, on Čopova street there are multiple fast-food restaurants, clothing and shoe stores, small shopping mall and a post office.

Getting around

Even though the apartment is located in a pedestrian-only area, it is possible to get with a car within 350m of the apartment. Read the last paragraph for our extensive collection of easy car parking options nearby. Please note that due to pedestrian zones Google Maps can give incorrect instructions in regards to car access, so we suggest to follow our recommendations. If you are coming with a car or a taxi, the best drop off point is at the main Tourist Information center at “Krekov trg” (Krek square), a 5-minute walk away.

Ljubljana city offers in a limited availability also a free city-center transportation service called “Kavalir” (Gentle Helper). These are green-coloured electric-powered vehicles, operating within the city centre pedestrian zone, that can transport up to 5 passengers. If you see them you can stop them on the spot or alternatively order them over the phone. Running times are 6:00–22:00 daily, all year. These vehicles are great if you spot them, but they don’t have a set route and sometimes all of them are unavailable.

Main bus and train station are 15min walk away from the apartment. There are also 2 local busses (number 2 and 9) from there that will take you closer to the apartment, if you want to cut down on your walking time. To use the public bus transportation system you will need to buy an “Urbana” Card. The Urbana card is available at transportation ticket offices, tourist information centres and most of the city's newspaper kiosks, news-stands, gas stations and post offices. You might even be able to buy it at the cashier at some grocery shops in Ljubljana. It can also be bought from slim & tall green self-service machine called “Urbanomat” which are located at most major bus stops. The card is priced at €2.00 and can store up to €50.00 of credit to be spent on city bus fares.

You will most likely be walking around Ljubljana city center due to its small size, but if you ever want to venture further or add some fun to your day, 5 min away from the apartment at the Tourist Information Center there is a possibility of an affordable bike rental.
